McFadden wasn't going to be brought in to replace Thomas Jones, he was just going to be a compliment. A good 1-2 punch.

Just like with Cedric Benson, McFadden will not sit on the bench long behind Thomas. You don't draft a guy in the top 5 to be a "1-2 punch" or the second running back. Thomas will get the majority of the carries this season, but unless DM gets a serious injury or even less likely shows he's not going to cut it, TJ will be making a move again in a year or so.

This is a hypothetical topic, Run DMC didn't get drafted by the Jets, he's a Raider. Thomas will be the go to back for at least another year in NY.

Sorry, that sounds retarded the way I put it. My scenario was supposed to be hypothetical. Too much draft for me this weekend. And this after seeing him interviewed with a Raider hat on talking about getting away from his family by going to the west coast. To clarify, if he'd went to NY he would not be going as part of a 1-2 punch. He'd be expected to make that top 5 money much like the situation Thomas found in Chicago.

I'm suprised Geno hasn't been drafted btw.

I agree 100% if Run DMC where headed to NYC TJ would be headed else where.

Geno did finally get drafted, looks like he gets to stay close to home in Tampa. I really think one more year in school would have done wonders for him, but I don't blame him for leaving early.

why dont you blame him for leaving early?

    hes an idiot

another year means at least 2 rounds higher.......and more money

more money = better chance of making a roster

He'll make the roster in Tampa, and probably see some PT in his rookie season. The reason I don't blame him for leaving is; I don't see FSU having a great season whether he stayed or not, I'm sure he realized that as well and decided to move on.
